- The 5th edition of the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) will be held in Rajasthan.
- The Games will take place across seven cities in Rajasthan: Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, and Bharatpur.
- A total of 23 medal sports and one demonstration sport, kho-kho, will be featured.
- New disciplines added this year include beach volleyball, canoeing and kayaking, and cycling.
- KIUG serves as a national platform connecting university-level athletes to higher-level competitions.
- The previous edition was held in North-east India, where Chandigarh University won the overall title.
- Khelo India is a flagship scheme by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
