- Rockets will be launched from Kulasekarapattinam using the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV).
- Sriharikota currently has two operational launch pads, with a third under construction at the SDSC at a cost of about ₹4 crore.
- Rockets weighing up to 500 kilograms will be launched from Kulasekarapattinam.
- Both ISRO and private companies will launch rockets from the new site.
- ISRO plans to begin rocket launches from Kulasekarapattinam by the fourth quarter of 2026.
