- The LCA (Light Combat Aircraft) Tejas Mk1A made its maiden flight at HAL’s (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) Nashik plant.
- Defence Ministry inaugurated the third production line for LCA Mk1A and the second line for HTT-40 (Hindustan Turbo Trainer-40).
- The aircraft is powered by the F404–IN20 engine from GE Aerospace.
- The Nashik facility can produce eight aircraft annually, raising HAL’s total capacity to 24 LCA Mk1A aircraft per year.
