- Lotus flowers have reappeared in Wular Lake in Jammu & Kashmir after over three decades.
- Wular Lake is Asia’s second-largest freshwater lake.
- It spread across Baramulla and Bandipora districts, covers 130 sq km and provides 60% of Kashmir Valley’s fish production.
- It is one of 42 Indian wetlands listed under the Ramsar Convention.
