30 January 2026 marks the 78th death anniversary of MKGandhi, the Father of the Nation.
Martyrs’ Day was officially declared in 1949 to honour MKGandhi and other freedom fighters.
Gandhi was assassinated on 30 January 1948 in New Delhi, by Nathuram Godse.
