  • A medieval Telugu inscription linked to the Gajapathi dynasty was discovered at the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
  • The inscription is associated with Purushottama Deva, a 15th-century ruler of the Gajapathi kingdom of Odisha.
  • It mentions Kumaraguru Mahapatra, a steward officer serving under the Gajapathi ruler.
  • The inscription was found on a stone pillar in the temple mandapa and is written in Telugu.
  • The temple artefacts are believed to have been brought from Kondaveedu Fort, an important medieval centre in Andhra Pradesh.
