- The Model Code of Conduct (Model Code of Conduct) came into immediate effect across Bihar with the announcement.
- The Code is also applicable to the Central Government in matters related to Bihar’s policies and announcements.
- Public funds must not be used for political advertisements during the election period.
- Political parties must inform the police in advance about meetings and processions for proper security and traffic arrangements.
- Ministers are prohibited from combining official duties with election campaigning or using government resources for the same.
- Regulation of meetings, processions, polling and maintenance of law and order must be carried out fairly.
