- Scientists from the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, developed a nanoparticle-based pathway for Alzheimer’s therapy.
- The research was carried out under the Department of Science and Technology.
- The therapy uses EGCG (Epigallocatechin-3-gallate), dopamine, and tryptophan combined in one nanoparticle.
- These nanoparticles target amyloid plaques, oxidative stress, inflammation, and nerve cell damage.
- Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) was added to support neuron growth and repair.
