- NASA’s Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP) was launched aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket.
- IMAP will study the heliosphere, solar wind, and interstellar particles to understand the Sun’s impact on Earth and space weather.
- The spacecraft will operate from Lagrange Point 1 (L1) for continuous observation of solar and interstellar activity.
- It carries 10 instruments to support space weather forecasting and ensure the safety of satellites and astronauts.
