National Cancer Awareness Day 2025 - November 07

The aim of this day is to reduce the burden of cancer through public awareness, early diagnosis, and timely treatment.
The date was chosen to commemorate the birth anniversary of Marie Curie and was first celebrated in 2014.
In India, about 20 to 25 lakh people live with cancer, and nearly 7 lakh new cases are reported every year.
Tobacco use contributes to about 34 percent of total cancers in India.
