- For the first time, Gram Panchayats received National Awards for e-Governance 2025 under a new category dedicated to grassroots digital service delivery.
- The awards were presented at the 28th National Conference on e-Governance in Visakhapatnam.
- After evaluating over 1.45 lakh entries nationwide, the awardees included:
- Gold: Rohini Gram Panchayat, Maharashtra
- Silver: West Majlishpur Gram Panchayat, Tripura
- Jury Awards: Palsana Gram Panchayat, Gujarat & Suakati Gram Panchayat, Odisha
- Financial incentives (Rs. 10 lakhs for Gold and Rs. 5 lakhs for Silver) are provided to further strengthen citizen-centric digital initiatives.
