National Pharmacovigilance Week 2026- September 17/23

The 6th National Pharmacovigilance Week (NPW) will be observed from 17–23 September 2026 to promote the safe and rational use of medicines.
It is hosted by the National Coordination Centre for Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (NCC-PvPI) in Ghaziabad and aligns with World Patient Safety Day (17 September).
The 2026 theme is “Promoting Rational Use of Medicines through Pharmacovigilance – A Step Towards Safer Healthcare.”
Pharmacovigilance focuses on detecting and reporting Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) and other adverse events linked to medical products.
The campaign has been a regular national initiative under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) since 2021.
