- Finland joined the Ottawa Treaty in 2012.
- The Ottawa Convention was signed in 1997 and came into force in 1999.
- The Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention (the Ottawa treaty) bans the use, stockpiling, production, and transfer of antipersonnel mines.
- Currently it has 164 states parties.
