  • Fossilised remains discovered near Harpal’s pond in Megha village, Jaisalmer, include wood-like stones and a large vertebrate bone structure.
  • Initial assessments suggest the fossil may belong to a prehistoric reptile from the Late Triassic or Jurassic periods.
  • The fossil measures about 6-7 feet long and 3-4 feet wide, showing a clearly visible spine.
  • Jaisalmer has a rich history of fossils, including dinosaur footprints and marine remains dating back 180 million years.
