- The Government of India has expanded the Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme (PMNDP).
- Now it covers 751 districts across all 36 States and Union Territories.
- As of June 30, a total of 1,704 dialysis centres are functional under the programme.
- PMNDP provides free dialysis services to patients with end-stage kidney failure through haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
- The Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme (PMNDP) was launched in 2016 as part of the National Health Mission (NHM).
