- Russia and China have signed a legally binding memorandum to construct the Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline.
- The pipeline will transport natural gas from western Siberia to China via Mongolia, supplementing the existing Power of Siberia 1 line.
- Power of Siberia 2 will add 50 billion cubic meters of annual export capacity, in addition to the current 38 billion cubic meters from Power of Siberia 1.
