- Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated the Pradhan Mantri Divyasha Kendra (PMDK) in Rajasthan’s Kota.
- It aims to deliver high-quality, affordable assistive devices to senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
- As of now, 45 PMDK centres are operational across various states and Union Territories.
- This initiative is led by the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), unit of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
