  • India will set up four advanced quantum fabrication hubs under the National Quantum Mission at IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, and IISc Bengaluru.
  • These hubs will focus on quantum sensing, quantum computing, and quantum materials, supporting secure and scalable quantum devices.
  • IIT Bombay and IIT Kanpur will lead quantum sensing and metrology.
  • IISc Bengaluru and IIT Bombay will lead advanced quantum computing fabrication.
  • The initiative will promote innovation, startups, and the training of quantum hardware specialists across India.
  • The program strengthens India’s technological sovereignty and deep-tech capabilities in critical sectors like superconductivity, photonics, healthcare, and space.
