India will set up four advanced quantum fabrication hubs under the National Quantum Mission at IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, and IISc Bengaluru.
These hubs will focus on quantum sensing, quantum computing, and quantum materials, supporting secure and scalable quantum devices.
IIT Bombay and IIT Kanpur will lead quantum sensing and metrology.
IISc Bengaluru and IIT Bombay will lead advanced quantum computing fabrication.
The initiative will promote innovation, startups, and the training of quantum hardware specialists across India.
The program strengthens India’s technological sovereignty and deep-tech capabilities in critical sectors like superconductivity, photonics, healthcare, and space.
