  • The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) has revived and released two rare Ayurvedic manuscripts - Dravyaratnākara Nighaṇṭu and Dravyanamākara Nighaṇṭu.
  • Dravyaratnākara Nighaṇṭu (1480 AD) is authored by Mudgala Paṇḍita.
  • It is a comprehensive lexicon offering insights into drug names, properties, and therapeutic applications.
  • Dravyanamākara Nighaṇṭu, attributed to Bhisma Vaidya, is a unique appendix to the Dhanvantari Nighaṇṭu.
  • It was focusing on homonyms of drug names - a complex but critical domain in Ayurvedic pharmacology.
