Remuneration for State Finance Commission Chairman

  • The Tamil Nadu government has increased the monthly pay of the State Finance Commission Chairman from ₹6,500 to ₹2.25 lakh.
  • The revision comes four months after the constitution of the Seventh State Finance Commission.
  • An amendment was made to the Tamil Nadu State Finance Commission Chairman and Other Members (Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994.
