- Tamil Nadu has dropped the name "Chief Minister's Thayumanavar Scheme" from its official communications.
- The scheme is now officially referred to as the doorstep delivery of Public Distribution System (PDS) (ration) commodities for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
- The scheme provides doorstep delivery of essential ration items to senior citizens aged above 65 years and persons with disabilities.
- The State Government has also appointed Guru to head the Tamil Nadu Fact Check Unit.
- The Fact Check Unit is learnt to have been renamed the Information Integrity Desk, though no official government notification has been issued yet.
