Revision of Critical Minerals Royalty

- The Union Cabinet approved revised royalty rates for Caesium, Graphite, Rubidium, and Zirconium.
- Caesium and Rubidium will have a 2% royalty on the average sale price (ASP) of the metal contained in the ore, Zirconium 1%, and Graphite 2–4% depending on carbon content.
- Graphite royalty will now be charged on an ad valorem basis to reflect price variations across grades.
- These minerals are critical for green energy, high-tech applications, electric vehicle batteries, nuclear energy, aerospace, and electronics.
