Chhattisgarh passes Ease of Doing Business Act 2026.
It introduces Risk-Based Approval System.
Chhattisgarh becomes first in India to adopt a trust-based business permission framework aimed at easing compliance for MSMEs.
It is set to become the first state in the country to introduce a comprehensive risk-based permission framework for industries and commercial establishments.
The Act aims to reduce compliance burdens, simplify procedures related to setting up and operating businesses.
Under the new framework, industries and businesses will be classified into different risk categories based on their size and nature of operations.
Low-risk enterprises will be eligible for simplified approvals, while projects falling under higher-risk categories will continue to undergo technical scrutiny and inspections.
