- The UNESCO has added Riyadh, AlUla, and Riyadh Al-Khabra to the Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC).
- The Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC) is an international network that promotes lifelong learning for people of all ages.
- The network began in 2013 and now includes 425 cities from 91 countries.
- With these additions, Saudi Arabia now has a total of eight cities in the Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC).
