  • South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) is observed annually by the United Nations on September 12, 2025.
  • SSTC was established under the 1978 Buenos Aires Plan of Action to promote technical cooperation among developing countries.
  • India participates in SSTC through the India-United Nations Development Partnership Fund and the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation programme.
  • Over 47 governments have contributed to SSTC projects, benefiting populations in 155 countries.
  • India has funded 75 development projects across 56 developing countries under SSTC.
