  • The State of Social Justice: A Work in Progress report was released by the International Labour Organization (ILO).
  • Global child labour (age 5–14) declined from 250 million in 1995 to 106 million in 2024.
  • Extreme poverty fell from 39% in 1995 to 10% of the global population.
  • Working poverty reduced from 28% to 7% between 1995 and 2024.
  • Secondary school completion rates rose by 22% since 1995.
  • Work-related mortality has dropped by over 10% since 2000.
  • Informal employment still affects 58% of global workers, falling by only 2% in 20 years.
  • Gender labour force participation gap reduced by 3% since 2005 and remains at 24%.
