- Tamil Nadu Governor has reserved 10 Bills for the consideration of the President of India as they were found contrary to the University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations.
- Between September 18, 2021, and October 31, 2025, the Governor received 211 Bills from the State Legislative Assembly.
- Of these, 170 Bills were granted assent, 27 were reserved for the President, 4 were returned with messages, and 2 were withdrawn by the State government.
- The Raj Bhavan stated that 81% of the Bills received had been assented to, with 73 cleared within a week and 61 within a month.
- The clarification was issued following allegations that the Governor was delaying assent to Bills passed by the Assembly.
