- A five-day Sunrise Festival will be held in Dong village, Anjaw district, Arunachal Pradesh.
- Dong is located at the easternmost tip of India, bordering China’s Tibet, and is the first place in India to receive sunlight each day.
- The festival will take place from December 29, 2025, to January 2, 2026, offering a unique view of the first sunrise of the New Year.
- Dong is situated at an altitude of 1,240 metres above mean sea level, at the tri-junction of India, China, and Myanmar.
