- The fifth edition of Swachh Sagar Surakshit Sagar was conducted from September 12–19, 2026, with coastal clean-up activities at 231 locations across 13 States and Union Territories.
- Around 15 lakh people took the Ocean Conservation Pledge during the campaign.
- It focused on coastal cleanliness and ocean conservation through nationwide clean-up activities.
- The campaign was reviewed during the Monthly Review Meeting of Scientific Ministries and Departments in New Delhi.
- The proposed Digital Library of Scientific Achievements is being developed with Council of Scientific and Industrial Research–National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR) as the nodal institution.
