- Theme for 2025–26 is “Swacchata Ki Nayi Pehel – Badhayein Haath, Karein Safai Saath.”
- SS is the world’s largest urban cleanliness survey and a management tool for garbage-free cities.
- Swachh Survekshan now assesses river towns and coastal areas, expanding beyond Ganga towns.
- SS promotes citizen participation, accountability, and pride in urban cleanliness.
