- The governments of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra signed a MoU to jointly implement the Tapti Basin Mega Recharge Project.
- The agreement aimed at addressing the water needs of the select regions in both States.
- The project is the third such initiative undertaken by the Madhya Pradesh state government in the past year.
- Already there are 2 projects viz, Ken–Betwa link with Uttar Pradesh and the Parvati–Kalisindh–Chambal project with Rajasthan.
