Thagaisal Thamizhar Award 2026

Former Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) president M. Krishnasamy was selected for the Thagaisal Thamizhar Award 2026.
He represented the Vandavasi Lok Sabha constituency from 1991 to 1996 and the Arani Lok Sabha constituency from 2009 to 2014.
The award was instituted in 2021 to honour eminent persons who contributed to the welfare of Tamil Nadu and the Tamil community.
The award carries a ₹10 lakh cash prize and a citation.
Previous awardees include N. Sankaraiah (2021), R. Nallakannu (2022), K. Veeramani (2023), Kumari Ananthan (2024) and K. M. Khader Mohideen (2025).
