  • It was last reported nearly after five decades in this forest area of the region.
  • It might have moved here from the Srisailam wildlife corridor in Andhra Pradesh.

About Kishkindha hills

  • This hill is located on the northern bank of the Tungabhadra River.
  • The surrounding plateau is estimated to be roughly 3,000 million years old, making it one of the oldest surface features on Earth.
  • It sits just across from the historic site of Hampi in Karnataka.
