- The Tamil Nadu government and iVP Semi (Integrated Vector Processors Semiconductor) have launched the ‘TN 100 Chip Varsity’ project.
- The programme will set up a Statewide network of chip design labs inside engineering colleges.
- It aims to create 100 new chip designs and train 5,000 students in semiconductor design every year.
- Selected colleges will receive industry-grade tools, training chips, and expert mentorship.
