The T.N. (Tamil Nadu) Rising Summit in Madurai recorded 91 MoUs (Memorandums of Understanding) worth ₹36,660 crore.
Tamil Nadu received ₹11.38 lakh crore in committed investments and created 34 lakh jobs in four years.
The Madurai region is planned to get 56,766 new jobs through new industrial projects.
A PM MITRA (Prime Minister Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) Textile Park is being built in Virudhunagar for ₹1,894 crore.
New parks include an engineering park and a food park in Theni and industrial parks in Sivaganga.
A shipbuilding project by Hyundai and a non-leather footwear unit by Pei Hai are part of the new investments.
