TN State Indicator Framework 2.0

Tamil Nadu has released the State Indicator Framework (SIF) 2.0 to track progress on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
The framework reduces indicators from 314 to 244 across 17 SDGs and is monitored by 28 State departments.
Tamil Nadu’s multidimensional poverty rate is 2.2%, compared to 33.76% in Bihar and 22.93% in Uttar Pradesh, as per NITI Aayog.
The State has an under-five mortality rate of 13 per 1,000 live births and 99.98% institutional deliveries.
Tamil Nadu ranks second in the SDG India Index 2023–24 with a score of 78.
SIF 2.0 is aligned with the UN Global Indicator Framework and India’s National Indicator Framework (2025).
