- Shakti Sharma has become the first woman officer from the non-medical branch of the Indian Air Force (IAF) to attain the rank of Air Vice Marshal.

- A rare Sharp-tailed Sandpiper (Calidris acuminata) was recently spotted in Chandu village, Gurgaon.
- Its International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List status is Vulnerable.
