  • India’s first dual-fuel Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) train was flagged off from Sabarmati Railway Station, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
  • Iran completed track-laying on the Chabahar–Zahedan railway in September 2026, connecting Chabahar Port with Iran’s national rail network.
    • The corridor links the Gulf of Oman with Afghanistan, Central Asia and eastern Russia, while bypassing Pakistan; Chabahar is Iran’s only oceanic port, and Zahedan is the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan province.
