  • A Chinese team set a Guinness World Record by operating 116 TH-618 autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) for 34 minutes over 500 metres in a swimming pool in China, without human intervention.
  • India won its first-ever Asian Games gold medal in the women’s recurve archery team event at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
  • A 3-year-old Royal Bengal tigress was translocated from Valmiki Tiger Reserve, Bihar, and released into Buxa Tiger Reserve in Alipurduar, West Bengal, marking the launch of the State’s first tiger reintroduction project.
  • The Rogun Hydropower Project in Tajikistan is nearing its planned height of 335 metres, which would make it the world’s tallest dam after completion.
