- The second biggest cause of forest loss was clearing land for farming, including growing crops and raising animals.
- The amount of land cleared for farming shot up by 14% last year.
- That’s the biggest increase in 10 years.
- Brazil was responsible for 42% of the world’s total loss of primary forest, while Bolivia ranked at second.
