- Turkey’s Kızılelma unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) became the world’s first drone to shoot down an aircraft using a beyond-visual-range (BVR) missile.
- The UAV fired the indigenous GÖKDOĞAN BVR missile during the test.
- Kızılelma detected and tracked the target using the MURAD Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar.
- The demonstration was the first verified long-range air-to-air combat by an uncrewed fighter jet.
