Türkiye signed a MoU on Strategic Civil Nuclear Cooperation with the United States.
The agreement includes plans for large-scale nuclear power plants and small modular reactors (SMRs).
It aims to expand Türkiye’s nuclear capacity and strengthen bilateral energy ties.
This follows Türkiye’s broader strategy to diversify energy sources, including the ongoing $20 billion Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant project with Russia and recent LNG deals totalling 75.8 billion cubic meters.
