- The US is pulling its support from the vaccine alliance Gavi.
- The Gavi is a public-private partnership including the WHO, UNICEF, the Gates Foundation, and the World Bank.
- It has paid for more than 1 billion children to be vaccinated through the routine immunization programs, saving an estimated 18 million lives.
- It is also a member of the WHO-led Vaccine Safety Net (VSN) project.
- The USA has already withdrawn from the WHO, the Paris Climate Agreement, the UN Human Rights Council, the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), etc.
