The United States announced its withdrawal from 66 international organisations under the Trump administration.
This includes 31 United Nations bodies and 35 non-United Nations organisations.
The United States will leave the Paris Agreement again, and this will take effect on January 27, 2026.
The United States is also planning to withdraw from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the main global climate treaty.
The exit includes major bodies like the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, International Renewable Energy Agency, and International Solar Alliance.
The United States will remain a member of the United Nations Security Council, the World Food Programme, and the United Nations Refugee Agency.
