- The Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi has been recognised as a state party by the Election Commission of India.
- The party currently has four MLAs and two MPs.
- In the 73 years of Tamil Nadu’s electoral history, a political party founded by a Dalit has not received such a recognition.
- The symbol ‘Pot’ has been reserved for VCK in Tamil Nadu as per a request made by the party in June 2024.
