  • India unveiled its first fully indigenous 32-bit microprocessor Vikram 3201 developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
  • The chip was launched at a semiconductor industry event in Delhi on September 2, 2025.
  • 'Vikram 3201' is an upgraded version of 'Vikram 1601' used by ISRO since 2009.
  • The processor supports the Ada programming language, used in satellites and aerospace systems.
  • It is designed for deep-space use, capable of operating from minus 55 to 125 degrees Celsius.
