Vikram-I is India’s first privately developed commercial orbital rocket, built by Skyroot Aerospace.
The Prime Minister unveiled the rocket and inaugurated Skyroot’s Infinity Campus in Hyderabad, a facility that can produce one orbital rocket per month.
Vikram-I is designed to launch small satellites into low Earth orbit, marking Skyroot’s shift from sub-orbital to orbital launch capability.
Skyroot earlier launched Vikram-S, India’s first private sub-orbital rocket, in 2022.
