- The 16th-century Vrindavani Vastra silk textile will be temporarily loaned by the British Museum to Assam for 18 months in 2027.
- The textile was woven under the guidance of neo-Vaishnavite saint-reformer Srimanta Sankaradeva and depicts scenes from the life of Lord Krishna.
- The British Museum agreed to the loan if Assam builds a museum meeting the required environmental standards.
