- Grey-necked Bunting in Kotagiri and Black-headed Bunting in Masinagudi were spotted for the first time.
- Regular winter migrant birds were also spotted.
- Birds of prey like the Greater Spotted Eagle and Steppe Eagle were noted in higher numbers.
- Northern Pintails and Booted Warblers were recorded in the Nilgiris this winter.
