- The India’s Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and UN Women signed an MoU.
- The MoU aims to enhance the participation of women entrepreneurs from the informal sector in public procurement under GeM’s Womaniya initiative.
- GeM allows women entrepreneurs and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to directly supply products to Central and State Government ministries, departments, PSUs, and autonomous bodies.
- UN Women will provide training, global best practices, success stories, validation criteria, and mobilise women trainers.
